The Scribblers are making waves...

Lake Superior photo - Five Mile Point by Julie Eger

The next Scribbler's meeting will be at the Hancock restaurant on Sept. 22 (Tues.) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The prompts are: "a broken music box, and/or sunrise in winter." Please bring some new ideas for prompts as we are still collecting them!

Ken introduced us to his son, Greg, who listened politely and added some great feedback. He also commented that he would like to see more 'metaphor' in our work. It was great to get that kind of feedback.

Sue read a story about a jewelry manufacturer stuck in an airport in China, trying to figure out where she should go when she didn't understand the language. Julie read a story about a woman with an inoperable disease. Barbara FV read a story about a couple stuck in a relationship based on habits. Carl shared more of his Jane story, prompted by Barbara months ago. Ken read four poems, all based on the prompt, "Where do I go from here?" Our favorite was the one about too many rings. Lauretta continued her story on the detective trying to solve the mystery of the missing street musicians.
